Some mongrel has pinched my parents truck
1992 Nissan Safari
Two Tone Silver & Green
LWB
High roof,
Manual.
130,000k's
snorkel
Stolen from the Hamilton Gardens, early Saturday afternoon 18th Feb.
It has a custom rear storage/camping set up in the back, polyurethane ply finish.
Factory Warn Electric winch.
Unusual Mag wheels, not your typical jap import alloys. Will try find a pic with it on these wheels.
These are some pic's of it that were lurking in the deep dark depths of my photobucket account. The pics are from back in 2004, but other than a set of spotties and its road wheels, it was still exactly the same the day it was nicked:

Its gutting, its well used, but a real tidy well maintained truck.
Bastards.

Found
Police found it in Taupo while searching some peoples property in relation to receiving stolen goods.
Its minus a starter and batteries, the mag wheels and steering wheel, all the camping kit in the back, its a bit more scratched up and the inside is moldy.
Other than not being able to run it due to the lack of a starter, it looks ok.
The plan is to put a tender in on it I think.

It's back
Tow company dropped it off and even manovered it into the carport for me so I couldy work on it under cover.
$200 for a starter from the wreckers, a couple of oil filters, a couple of shitty old batteries, some minor ignition wiring repairs and it started up first go. Got lucky.
So the clean up begins
The old mans pretty stoked to have it back
