Ours is 3" and I'd go bigger if we were to redo it

You should be fine with 3' as the throttle body on the 1uz is only 3' dia so if u go any bigger the air is only gona bottle neck at the throttle body anyway i reckon , going to put a 3' on my hilux soon ill let you know how it goes after i put it on.

I've made a 3' for mine which runs from the throttle body (drivers side) to the left hand guard and up the A-pillar even with that much piping and only 3' it seems to work fine - no noticable difference to power between the snorkel and just having a pod filter straight off the throttle body. only thing i've found is that if the passengers window is down the induction noise can get a little annoying after a while
