Is it wise to fit an adjustable panhard rod when doing a suspension lift? If so whats the best type of aftermarket one to get? Along my travels of searching I've also read about is it a "drop box" oslt? that can be made up.
Am I right in thinking by leaving the standard one in after a lift it puts everything out of wack? How long can you run it like this if this is the case?
All I'm doing is fitting 40mm lift springs and long travel EFS shocks in the rear of my KZN130 so I can get 33's on it.
And lastly any advice on getting the torsion bars right ie: whats the maximum you should push them before ####### things up? Read its a good idea to get a new set of adjusting bolts in case you snap the ones on there

Your best to make up a panhard drop bracket to keep the panhard close to parallel to the ground ..they work best in this position.
A everyday for a few days before you tweek your torsion bars spray some crc (or similar) on the threads of the bolts & when you do turn them make sure you have the wheels off the ground & you should be fine.
You can really turn them up much as if you do you wont have much droop to let the suspension travel down,& make sure you keep exact count of how many turns you adjust each one so you do them both the same amount.

sweet done and dusted with the new shocks and springs, dam its made a huge difference, haven't touched the torsion bars yet but the truck looks level so maybe they were already wound up. Have to see how it all measures up when I get the 33's under it this weekend. Pretty stoked first time I've done anything like this, few more things to do it and she'll be ready to get filthy on it lol

I can build you a bolt on drop bracket for the panhard to suit a 2" lift. Got detailed drawings round here somewhere

i reckon you can get about 1.5 inch lift in the front from the torsions. Any more and you run out of down travel making it bloody useless and you will start lifting wheels cornering on road etc and also make it a very very hard ride. I have always found 1.5 inch and 2 inch in the rear is fine for 33's and if your worries about a bit of rub you can add a body lift. I would personally rate down travel more important that total lift as you can always gain your height from bigger tyres with a body lift and maybe a minor flatten or trim of the inner guards.

True, yea I have a funny feeling the bars are already wound up, the trucks sitting pretty flat(still on the old 31's"), back wheels are now 320mm from top of the rim to start of the flare, they were about 260mm with the old springs shocks. Fronts are 340mm and nothings been touched, measured that on level ground too.
Yea,na gotten over being paranoid about rub,bfg will sort it out lol, Hopefully have the 33's under it this weekend.

At factory height the bottom arms are roughly parallel to the ground ...if they arent chances are its already been tweeked.
