Crank sensor on Wrangler

Just in case someone on here..lol..I started up to Old Man Rock today & the old Jeep crapped near the top..just stopped & wouldn't start.coasted back to the bottom & tried again away it went..back up again did the same again same place..seemed strange..back down it started about half way down..Guessing crank sensor breaking down when getting a bit hot..any idea's ..thanks

if its only doing it when hot good chance it will be the cps........commen fault...give sav a call ...nelson 4x4....think hes parting out a couple...

the problem being i'm in Alexandra at the moment,trying to do a bit of 4x4ing ....lol. priced a crank sensor here they bloody expensive but can get in the morning i think

A quick note..The auto sparky got the part very late Saturday,gave me a ring at 8 am to come down to put in..hows that for a service..thanks Brendon.. Davies Auto Electrician Alexandra..if you need anything while down that way worth calling in
The problem was fixed,no hassles today and it was thrashed all day in the pissing rain...Bogs,ruts and wash outs...Old man range,Whitcombe Rd then Southern Old man Range big day

Cost $240 plus a bit of time and doz speights..lol..will post some pic's when i get back [ for got my download cable ] got a few photo's but couldn't get my missus to take any going through the bogs on whitecombe rd [ she told me to get stuffed,shit it was pissing down ] meet some of the Clutha 4x4 club up their as well ..nice bunch of guys and Ladies

For the benefit of all other people who would be looking to replace one in the future, I got mine from
www.rockauto.com.
Actually, I had to change the one on my WG so got a spare for the TJ. I think the cost was USD 26 each, plus freight of about USD 25. All up for three sensors I paid USD 105 (about NZD 140).
If you think fitment on a TJ is bad, wait till you have to replace it on a WG/Grand Cherokee V8.....
