kzj78 prado transmission

Anyone here know what other model toyotas have the a343 auto that a 1993 kzj78 has and if its a straight swap ? apparently the 96 prados are different.

What Jerry said, but they come with a different transfer case in the surf. Not sure if it's a straight swap over, or if you need to swap the output shaft on the auto?

As I said in your other post there are 3 different versions, they are not a straight swap, but most parts are interchangeable. What's wrong with your existing one?

Just had pan off at the transmission specialist he cleaned up and changed oil. He he was surprised that it was running at all due to how dirty and burnt the oil was and the amount of metal in the pan. I had done a flush about 3 years ago last and haven't done that many k's so was a bit surprised. Thinking about preemptively swapping tranmission over as don't want to be out 4wheeling and have it fail on me.

In which case you need to find someone who can swap the internals for you, either that or wait until a A343F turns up.... I usually see one on TM every 3 months or so...

got one off my kzj78. good condition, with torque converter, transfer case but wire on two sensor are broken.

$800 ONO. (021 907 879)
