Right then got this Surf about a year ago, actually its how I found this site. Finally got round to or should I say got enough coin together to put in a suspension lift consisting EFS springs and EFS long travel shocks. I had planed on paying someone else to fit the springs and shocks but decided to save some coin and learn some new skills. Stoked I did, I've never been very mechanically minded but think I've got the bug now lol
Actually this started with me just needing new tyres but as I've got a family member who can get me cost price Maxxis tyres I thought fark it get the 33's. Also ended getting good deal on the rims thanks to mudslinger. I had planed to get black rims as I plan to give the truck a complete new paint job, which will more than likely be some sort of dark green but really digging the white rims with the blue
Pretty much sorted out the rub at full lock, taken the front mud guards off today and gave things bit of a tap. Probably have to wait till I decide to do a body lift to completely get rid of it.
Some time this week I'll take the rear bumper off and start thinking about fabricating up some mud guards.
Anyone got suggestion on the best stuff to use for this??
So yea be good to see where this ends up ultimately I'll be using this to get up to the club fields in Canterbury for snowboarding and hunting trips. I'll keep this thread running as I keep adding mods.
