hey guys im after a suzuki jimny powersteering box if anyone is wrecking a jimny or knows anyone who is, im to jewish to buy the adaptor plate to put the vitara box into my samurai so im just after a jimny box to go straight it.

From what I've seen I reckon you might spend about the same going either way. People with Jimny gear know what its worth as a power steer conversion.

yea after a few calls to wreckers it seems to be going that way. might just have a go and fabricating the wedge myself

is this for a road legal truck?

I sell escudo ps boxes for 225+ and jimny ones for 495+ you do the maths....

I paid less than your scud one for my jimny powersteer setup so it is possible to find one cheap enough. Just not if your in a hurry usually.

Since you have(had) the complete vitara why don't you PM BenT and ask for just a wedge , should be cheaper than a jimny pump .

yea i think im gunna go with just the wedge, still $200 tho. He thinks ill still need the pump bracket to relocate it so it doesnt hit the radiator mount but im gunna fab in the escudo radiator anyway so i think ill run with just the wedge

Ask him about the toyota box adaptor plate , I made one up years ago and he templated it . It fitted in with the fatory radiator and bolted straight to the steering shaft . Can be issues with a pitman arm thou , need a lite ace one I believe . Probably just as expensive .
