sj413 85 has had diesel in it and is nor running right well not at all, its been to a mechanic witch said he fixed it but has not and will on fix the problem that he failed to fix....

so the problem is it will start and idle sweet but when you give it gas it revs dies like its choking

at an educated guess the carby is probably gummed up with diesel or something, it would help people give you advice if you posted up what the mechanic did to it when he looked at it

was yours intermittent like it would run for a week anr a couple or days and then die ??
