there are a few clubs you can join around wellington that do trips, rallywoods is a 4wd park that a group of us hang out and go four wheel driving in (its more social than a club also no politics, basically just look out for trips to rallywoods and invite your self along :)

Skid and Reece are trying to get a fair bit of track clearing done at Rallywoods over the next month for the kiwi 4x4 challenge held over Queens birthday weekend so feel free to help out on any of those or any other trips happening up there, they'll be posted up on here otherwise you can make your own rallywoods bookings http://www.rallywoods.co.nz

most wgtn clubs are pretty small and clicky and based more on invites than open to anyone and everyone to join, ccvc is wgtns biggest and oldest club and is usually a good starting point to get a foot in the door, there a good place for beginers if your a beginer, Jerry seems to be on a big recruit campaign for his club at the moment  so may be worth talking to him

I joint ccvc, took about 8 months as had to do 2 family shiny and 1 driver training (spent a day at the hump at the rallywoods air strip)

As training days are few, it would pay to book in ASAP and do a couple of family shiny trips, which they do every month.

I tried other clubs sent several email,s with no reply. So yea ccvc and ore is the way to go.

C u out there

Latest mod, pin stripes, hit the same branch I did on the way in on the way out.
