Anyone know what the lubrication for the gear-box of a warn 9000 winch is.

I used Moray's oil stabiliser. Its quite sticky stuff, behaves a little like oil but really sticky. Don't put to much in thou otherwise it willl take more power than you'd like just to turn the gears.

It is good stuff thou.

I've got a superwinch and had to give it the big strip, clean and reassemble. I used a high temp grease, seemed similar to what was in it from factory.

I think I stuck gearbox oil in my 8274
...... hope I havent used the wrong lubricant?

The manual says a type of Aero grease, we ended useing C/V axle grease.
