Body lift bolts - Help

Hi All
I'm having all sorts of trouble tracking down the two rear M12 bolts for a 50mm body lift. Can anyone advise where I could obtain the following:
160mm bolt (Shank + thread length)
High Tencile
1.25 thread pitch
Passivated Zinc plated
The problem seems to be the thread pitch because it is very uncommon.
Options I have so far..
1) Use a length of threaded rod instead.
2) Try and get a longer bolt with a shank at least 160mm long. Cut off the exiting thread and cut a 1.25 thread down it.
Cheers

Cheers, yeah just gave them a call. Everyone seems to do a 150mm max length. Atom, SteelandTube, Fortress etc etc.
Seems to be that thread pitch which is the issue.

1) you can definatly get hi-ten studding, not sure if in metric fine.
3)possibly) if your gonna stuff round and cut a thread (hopefully not with a die nut) why not make a stud out of 12 dia 4140? I have a feeling 4340 would be excessive but happy to be wrong.

Any reason you couldn't go for a 1.5 pitch thread, and use 1.5 nut?
I must be missing something?

Yeah, its a captive nut it needs to go in.

If ur stuck let me know, theres a place I used to go to (prev employment) that source the fiddly bits, and they sell to "Blacks" (turns out they are a 2nd middle man). N when U need it "now/today", "they" will send you round to their suppliers if its not in stock

Sounds like stinky has it sorted. But there's also Coastal fasteners in Porirua and they have a shop in town as well.

Hello
TAZ is going to have a look for me, but could I take you up on your offer to see if they can supply such a bolt?
Thanks

Remove the captive nut and replace with 1.5 pitch nut and bolt. Few hits with a cold chissel and it should be out.

Hi
It is one option I'm considering. That captive nut is welded in between the outer and inner skins of the body. So one option Stinky gave me was to cut a hole in the floor to reach the nut. Drill out the thread and then insert a new bolt with a 1.5 thread
Cheers for the advice

Hey mate,
Costal Fasteners out in Porirua have them or can get them overnight, I know as this is where I sourced mine for when I did the body lift on my Terrano.

Very interesting. I spoke to them and they couldn't help.
Are your bolts 160mm long?

Mine were long enough to do a 50mm body lift, which I guess means they were 150s not 160s. What size body lift did you do?

I'm doing a 50mm lift. just measured the existing bolts and added 50mm to them.
But hey if 150 works for you it should for me. I will take a looky.
Cheers

Ok conclusion to this......
A 150mm bolt will work. only gets 10mm into the captive nut though.
