Newbie to all things 4x4

Post by Jeeper »

Ive driven around a 2000 single cam honda for the last 5 years. Enough was enough. Just picked up a 97 TJ. Im new to Jeeps and 4x4ing so am figuring it out as I go. Jeep needs some work but Im hoping to have it ready for next summer.

Sweet lookin' TJ you got there mate! Almost looks too nice to get muddy!

Definitely keen to do a trip sometime soon!

You need to get some of that Woodhill clay all over it:

Just need to get a few things sorted.

Steering box replaced. (leaking from where pitman goes in)
Left top n bottom bj's.
Gearbox cooling hoses replaced.
General Service and a few bushes replaced.
Prob a snork too.
And it'll be good to go. :P :P

Theres a leak in the GB thats not from the pan (seems to be coming from higher up) anyone struck this before?? The receipts book has a packer for the GB in there so it looks to have been done properly..?...?

Oh yeah I gotta get those far#$en shitty fake bullet holes off too. And maybe find a tyre n mag place that will trade in the Cragars for some black mags....

welcome mate , nice looking rig, got to be an import with all that bling
Yea, though I drive through the valley of death (and it's mudbogs), I shall fear no trail;for tho art modified is my rig, and thy lift kit and lockers they comfort me. Amen
