VX front wheel beering

Anyone in CHCH have a ****** big socket for the wheel beering nut, i think its a 54mm

i notice a small rumble and jacked the old girl up and found a little bit of play.

time to pull all the beerings out and replace them i feel. o i better do the wipes too. now who had those.

can get away with using a flat punch or chisel and hammer if don't have a socket big enough, just tends to mark the nut a little..

You'll probably need a new lock tab ring for it. My front one was loose as the ring was stuffed, seems to be a common occurance

Its a pretty good idea to replace the lock tab washer after a couple of goes. Once you've bent a tab over and then bent it back, the metal usually has stress cracks in it. With five tabs on them, you can usually get a couple of turns out of it without using the same tab twice.

It's one tab forward and one tab back.

I think the wheel bearing kits from Wilsonbros have that locking tab in it.

If you go to Toyota, you can buy just the lock rings. Most other places only sell kits.

its a regular occurance doing wheel bearings

so I bought the over-sized socket thingy for them which goes into 3/8 drive ratchet

cheap as and a worthwhile tool to have in your kit

pretty sure one of the vendors on here sells them
