Hi there
Try checking your fuel filter , if you truck has shit in the fuel tank all the bouncing around off road can move it off the bottom of the tank in to the pickup and it just overloads the filter giving you a short period of fuel starvation,I've had it happen in my samurai and know what a pain it can be.

Keeping your tank full helps.

you may find that on steep angles oil is running to your airbox and then clogging your carb. We used to have Suzukis with datsun motors in them that did this , they kept running but blew a heap of black from the oil. We fitted a catch container before the airbox and occasionally drained the oil from it back into the sump.

If its not idling you've probably got crap in your idle jets.

As suggested probably came from crap in the tank getting shaken up, or crap in the float bowl.

Open up your carb and have a look if there is any dirt in there. Mine used to block up all the time when I had a carb on it.

Best solution to fix it if there is dirt in there is to take the tank out and clean it right out, blow out the fuel lines, clean the carb, and make sure your fuel tank breather is up nice and high and not sucking mud in.

Quick way to fix is to do a "Mexican tune up". Take off carb hat, rev motor lots and stick hand over top of carb till motor slows and almost dies and repeat.
Just be carefull as it will suck pretty hard so don't block it totally.

The sludge in the PCV line will just be a bit of blow-by and condensation, so I wouldn't worry about it unless its really bad.
I assume you've checked under the oil cap to make sure theres no white stuff in there from a blown head gasket?

Hi there,I would also check your fuel tank breather that comes out by the number plate to make sure its not half full of crap.If its stalling going down steep hills as well I would have a real good look at you idle jets for any kind of contamination. It takes next to nothing to make them play up.

If the problems only occuring off angle I'd be having a pretty good look at the float levels and stuff in the carb to start with?

It only takes a tiny bit of dirt to block the idle jets, and sometimes you wont even see anything in the float bowl. Just about every Suzuki I've seen has had trouble with blocked jets at some stage.

I'd just do a quick "mexican" tune up and see if that helps. It will only take a couple of min and shoud suck any crap through the jets it there is anything in there. You may have to repeat a few times and give it heaps, but it works really well.
If its still bung, then go ahead and swap the carb.

If its stalling all the time its probably the idle jet. If it only stalls on hills its probably the floats.
If you do have lots of white crap under the oil cap and in the PCV pipe it could be a blown head gasket which can also make it idle rough.

Also beware that the swift carb probably has a different float bowl to a 413 carb that doesn't like side angles or up/down and makes it run out of fuel in these situations.

If it's not idling at all. Has it got a fuel cut solinoid on the carb? - one single wire going to a small round soliniod near the top of the carb?
If so make sure that is working correctly. Clicking and the pintle going in and out etc.
