Rallywoods firewood collection & track clearing 19/20 May

Post by SV1K »

Weekend of 19 & 20 May, we will be collecting firewood and finishing the track clearing for the Kiwi challenge.

Come and help out if you can please, it's an over-nighter but the place is booked on Sunday so we need to be careful not to block tracks and keep out of their way.

Please bring trailers and chainsaws if you have them

Cheers

I'll be keen to come up if my weekend is freed up.
Just let us know if there is a change of venue (re: conflict with other booking)

Thinking off the firewood subject and since you will be up my way the weekend. I have a shit load of firewood, but would need someone with good 4x4 skills to check the access. I got stuck down there but with a couple of trucks the stuck factor is removed.

I have about 150 30 meter gum trees. the wife would like to see them all gone, but at that size they are scary to drop.
I dropped a good chunk of them about 2 years ago and ring'd. so they are nice and dry. rings are anywhere from 20cm to 60cm.
Would be happy to sell or trade loads of it cheap...

Cheers

Just read the email from the guys that are in RW, we can track clear as long as we don't get in their way and if we can't keep the track clear we need to leave our keys in there so they can move it if needed.

got up there early Sat morning, curly had some stoopid little boyscout campfire going Image  so I got it stoked up :D :D and had about a thousand cups of tea with him while we waited Reece and a few others that probably slept in to turn up, ringed up a pile of firewood and ferried it down to the hanger for storage, nobody chopped any arms or legs off this time, got the fire stoked back up :D :D and came back home just before dark

What do you mean?? I was baby sitting, puppy minding, backing trailers, delivering wood, dodging Skid on the tracks and keeping your drivers seat warm
