Hi guys,
Looking to raise my truck by about 50mm and found these;
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =475775621They are "HEAVY DUTY STANDARD HEIGHT OR 40-50MM HEAVY DUTY RAISED/LIFT COIL SPRINGS"
I am wondering if any one has used them - what did they think? I am interested in getting some for my LJ70, these seem to be the most affordable??

Brought and fitted Cobra HD coils to my KZJ-71, this lifted it by 40mm, coupled with Raw shocks in the front made it to hard riding ( front only )
The rear with Monro shocks and HD Cobra worked great with towing a caravan.Now back to the front, had chamberlins coustom make new front coils with the original standard wire size but 40mm longer.

I run cobra coils in the rear of the bighorn (50mm lift) and had no problems with them.
I have put a set in my Safari about 6weeks ago (50mm lift/ heavy duty rears) and find them good for ride and flex the rear of my Safari sits high empty which also works out well for me as it levels out nicely once I have a loaded trailer on or am loaded up to go away on trip

Cobra springs seem to be thicker diameter than some other brands ...get on the phone & ask various retailers what there diameters are.

with efs at least you get a spring rate so you know what to fit for what you are going to use them for,
cobra on price thou if your on a budget cant go wrong.

I purchased these to do a 50mm lift in the Terrano.
They are up-rated, so will be a much more firm ride. I like them because I carry heavy loads in the back of the truck.
Just make sure if you are doing this and you have old shocks, then the shocks will probably need upgrading to slow down the recoil and also travel further. If your lifting to.

I fitted std height Heavy Duty Cobra's coils to rear of my LWB GQ Safari a couple of years ago. They were an improvement on the factory coils. Rear is much stiffer and level now when towing the boat or loaded up for the Christmas holidays. I dealt direct with the Cobra, found them very helpful over the phone. Also fitted Koni adjustable coils at the same time.

Got them on the back of my bighorn SWB. I really like them. I thought I had a issue with 1 sagging but it was the front end that had a torsion stretch and drop the passengers side. Wound it up and it leveled out.
I have the HD ones and still get PLENTY of flex
Had them about 18months now and very happy with them.
