Spent some time at a friends farm this afternoon getting some firewood for next year. Did a trailer load each, had a heap of fun on the new clay base lane ways that they are just putting in

slipping and sliding with 2m3 of wet beach in a trailer, got to experince the trailer deciding it wanted to pull the Safari back down the hill as I was halfway through driving up

.
Then got home to discover that daughter #1 had left the new laptop on the couch and daughter #3 had come into the lounge andf sat on. Just finshed lodging the claim with the insurance company
I hope Sunday is this much fun

Sunday I have to replace left hand side Head light bulb, have to replace the number plate bulbs in the back, have to adjust the bearing play on the left hand side.
Sh%t do I have a mission on my hands, at least Iam not doing wiper blades.
Also waiting for a new battery to turn up and Iam not talking about these pathetic $180 doller one's.
Might get my R.C gas car running if all goes to plan.

Decided this arvo was a perfect time to pull apart my intake on the bighorn. Cleaned all the sensors and cleaned everything out, what a bloody mess under the intake though. I think Isuzu didnt think about mud getting stuck on the middle of the V and caked up[ all around the injectors. I couldnt clean it all out but got some of it out, cleaned the rocker covers and inside the intake and put back together went for a drive and it runs better but fuel economy is what Im after.
Tomorrow is time to put the standard guards back on and then re-mount the bumpers with brackets to compensate the bidy lift.

Woodhill Patrol today. Bloody quiet
Had a good day taking it real easy.
@ 2pm running up a large sand climb (metres from where I blew a front diff 2 weeks ago) spooled up to max (22psi) hit a large bump and blew the turbo.
So it was a slow, smokey trip home
Removed the inter cooler, crimped the oil feed and carried on home.
Knew i should of reconnected the waste gate after the 24hr event
Oh well, gives me something to do in the morning. Should have replacement turbo fitted before lunch
Cheers,

Not planning on touching the truck this weekend, but I should.
Door coming to replace the one I trashed...
However, spend Saturday bobbing up and down in a 12ft tinnie with my Bro and his son... Only got two keepers.... But it was great, flat as a mill pond and no wind.
Was out off East Coast Bays.... in Auckland harbour...

yes insurance is the best option but after a long build it would be gut wrenching hopefully the hush hush part involves 240 volts

you should never go out wheeling on your own miles from anywhere
lucky for this chap we just happened to be in the area and able to recover him

p.s. you were never gonna get me to winch you out until I had the customary photo to prove it.
p.s.s. its a very steep drop in front of the truck and very lucky he didn't go over any further with nobody around to help

Bought a new truck to tow the boat, should be able to stop myself taking to it with the grinder but im sure it could use a snorkel, 33 muds, bar work and maybe a winch. You know only for those tricky beach launchings gone wrong..

Popped up to RW to help with the last bits and pieces that need doing for next weekend.
Bit of track work with a wee digger

Was good, they opened up tip loop again and also smoothed off a few others.
Had a few words with some pighunters who claimed they didn't know it was private property( insert Tui add here ). So after some not quite polite words they left

Fit up plenum for the weber which arived early in the week from UK.
Used a bit of old turbo pipe and silcone hose had lying around from my 12aT thats sitting in the corner of the garage.
Threw on a pod filter for now untill I can afford a snorkel. Only a temp measure so can still go to the snow soon will just have to wait to take it to the mud
Fished wiring up thermofan switch, flushed cooling system and fill with new stuf. Thermo fans cutting in and out perfectly.
Started cutting out and killing rust in front guard. Its not to bad but still I hate rust work
Started measuring up how much to extend rear brake presure reg link after lift. orderd new pressure reg as discoverd old one is tataly siezed up.
Installed breather hose for transfer. now for Gearbox and diffs.
tried to adjust the seat to the correct drving position but gave up as I just couldnt work it out. spose I better pay someone to do it for me.....
