New TowHook Fitter in Welly if anyone needs

Post by Jerry »

check out http://www.wtbs.co.nz I seem to recall a few of people in Welly wanting them, is an ORE member (Stinky).

Can also supply tyres as well.

Can we make a list of people who can do this and put up somewhere, if you flick the details to me I can compile and give to Mike to put into the site.

We can do that but the question is if you had the tools could you? I have a work shop in Vivian st Wellington and at this stage im thinking of opening it up for ORE and club members to use one saturday a month so you could come in use the gear etc if you want steel you get it at cost there would have to be a small charge say $10 but you get to play with the welders, bender gas axe etc. You would need your own hand tools. It will depend on intrest of course.

Im hurt Mike, At least the new hubb is in the post, sorri your ORE memebership has slipped down the list behind new fishing gear, diving gear, hubb, but it's next I promise. Then maybe the diff

Can you PLEEEEEASE take off the "Where is my Avaitor thing please. I get the friggin hint! Whats next, sending the boys round to bust my kneecaps.

It sucks being on a tight budget.

Anyway, how long has your LR been in the garage?

I was hoping that it would go away by it's self until I realised that I was the only one with it on and I can't get rid of it, short of paying my membership

Been trying to get a local Toyota wreaker I know through work to part with a headlight for Mike. He has 1/2 dozen surfs siting in his yard.

Anyway I'm heading down to Stinky's place now :P

Toyota Commercial Dismantlers, they were on the Eastern Hutt Road but have moved to a yard behind the Taita Pub. Beside the BP.

I have called the boy who works for him and he will txt me a price. I will PM you with it today.

Jerry, he has a 2.4 which should be the same (so he said) for $350. How does that compare? He said they are normally more :?:

Opps sorry for jacking the thread

Nope, but I might bring my truck in some time for a paid job to see if you can work out a suitable way of fixing hooks to the arb bullbar, prefer hooks to using the eyes with shackels, arb also have their little disclaimer that the eyes are suitable for static winch loads or towing but not for hard snatching.... and looking at the way the eyes have started to distort I think they are probably right?

Marty,
What type of bender fo you have? is it a mandrel bender? Reson being is that if the rover is rolling, I *could* bring it down and finish the front part of the cage.
