1992 swb pajero suspect broken cv???

can anyone tell me what sounds like the problem im having? was on the steering lock when this happend in mud front end came off ground and made a big bang when she landed from front passenger side pulled her out and have no drive to front wheels in high or low range 2wd works fine would you guys say its a broken cv? or what about transfer case?

put it on axel stands and make sure the front drive shaft is turning , if it is then its either the diff , cv's or hub

Have a look under the front, you can see the cv, grab the axle piece between the two cv's, nothing should turn or be wobbly.

have had a look pretty sure its just the cv it looks as though it has just poped the axle/cv out of diff there is no damage on shafts/splines evan the circlip is still intact so can i just grease the cv and push her back into place in the diff?

Sure, just make sure no dirt or water has got in the diff.

Gidday. I had A Similar problem. i was locked left when my front poped up an when i landed there was a bang. What had hapened is i blew a hub. i ended up buying a new pair. Cheers

has anyone got a spare cv? or where is the best/ cheapest place to buy a new one or second hand
