Welcome, I'm about to order a tracker off of deal extreme, took a while to find one that is 24 volt compatible.

I spoke to him too, the "obsessive" GPS tracker he charges ~$500 for is the one linked above. I still want him to do my alarm though.

i was going to wait and see if many other people would be keen in getting him down for a mass install but i just don't trust chch to have it parked in linwood without it being protecte. sad to say but that's the way this place has become...

Well If you do get him down here, you can put my name down for a alarm install.
I basically dont take my prado out at night, and even coming home I always have a wee "moment" untill I see it parked up driveway.

well, i ended up biting the bullet due to my own paranoia and tied in a road trip racing near tauranga with a visit to julian in wellington. $1000 well spent i feel. 2nd day i had the alarm it had already let me know someone had been tampering with it at work. didn't take long to look at the cctv footage and find the culprit. Busted! haha can't rate his service and professionalism enough!

A couple of days ago I ordered a similar GPS tracker through eBay, US$75 with free shipping. This type of tracker seems to be referred to as a TK103b. Just make sure you get a quadband unit that includes 900/1800 MHz which will work with our Vodafone GSM SIM cards. Will attempt to instal myself and will hook the fuel cutoff to the horn circuit so I will be able to set the horn off remotely if sitting outside a couple of properties and not too sure where my truck is. There is a good YouTube video of a Chch guy recovering his Nissan station wagon using one of these units

Ring the boys at Lineside Cruisers. Talk to them. A bit closer to Home.
