PATROL PURCHASE
PATROL PURCHASE
Hello all. I've been tagging along with the Taranaki clubs (and a Pirongia outing) in the last couple of years, and have learned of the short-comings of my LWB in tight gullies, tops and corners. (Mitsi L200 TD fine otherwise.) But am looking at a swb Nissan Patrol on Trademe (No. 485636487). With only general mechanical knowledge, I'm short of questions (I'm in NP and vehicle's in Wellington) and wonder if anyone knows of the nasties to look out for. Maybe even knows the truck. Thanks, Chris.
Re: PATROL PURCHASE
Hi Christo, I'm in Wellington. Flying to TGA tomorrow to pickup a Safari. Would you like me to go and have a look at that Safari for you? (those photos in the auction were taken about 10 minutes away from my place) Can film it and chuck it on youtube for you to get a better idea of the truck - done it before.
eg;
The Aussies have a large Patrol/Safari forum and have a section dedicated to buying Safaris, so might be worth a browse around over there too for some info http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/buying-nissan-patrol-53/
Cheers

Re: PATROL PURCHASE
Talk about beginner -- I'm not sure if my first reply was sent when I ducked back to check on your name! Basically, I've got a mate available to have a look this week, but first wanted to find out a bit more about such vehicles, and what to watch out for. Thanks so much for the offer, however. Chris
