Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice. I've trolled through forum and have picked up some good info. I'm looking at buying a swb 91 safari that's done 270000km. Current owner has had it for 10 years, but the only maintenance he has done is the usual oil service, new clutch 80k ago, brakes and the injecters cleaned. I took it for a spin and it seems to run pretty smooth except for the body roll. At what stage would you expect to start doing things like glow plugs, shocks, bushes, wheel bearings etc? The dilemma I'm in is weather to put money into my current 4x4 (samurai) or buy this and have no spare cash for awhile. It would be mainly used as my weekend hunting wagon, so i won't be chewing through the km - 5k a year. also what would be a fair price? body is average - good. I know some of my questions have the answer of how long is a piece of string.
thanks guys,
Grant
