Free wheeling hubs engaged? Or does a feroza have auto locking hubs?

could be many things,

some 4wds have vaccum actuated differentials
Some have electric solenoids,

It could be the gear shift linkage not engaging properly due to been bent, worn or a flogged gearbox mount which has taken it out of alignment
It could be a corroded plug
It could be a perished vaccum line
It could be a broken chain in the transfer case
It could be a broken spline on an axle,

Sounds like you have open diffs so you wont know if its broken till you jack it up and spin the wheels, if it is okay, one will go opposite to the one your spinning.

If it is a broken axle, then you will need to spin them with some resistance as having both wheels off the ground may not be enough to make the broken axle slip.

put it in low box and in gear with the engine off climb under it and see if you can spin the drive front drive shaft by hand. (might have to drive the vehicle a wee bit to get it to engage 1st) if it turns by hand the issue is in the transfer case if it doesnt its in the front end.

if it has auto hubs you will need to jack the truck up off the ground so the wheels can spin freely

if its in the front end it could be a number of things.
#broken axle
#broken cv
#worn out locking hub

put the front hubs in if its manuals and jack the front off the ground spin the drive shaft and the wheel with the broken axle wont turn
