Nissan safari spirit ignition questions

Hi all,
I have just scored a rolled-over Spirit, has been used for feeding out stock on the farm years back. It has the ignition tampered with. I can get the starter to turn over, but will that be enough to start it? Is there a wire I can use to glow it? It hasnt been started in 3 years.

Can put pics up of whats left of the dash if there are any wiring gurus out there?

Might be easiest to connect power direct to fuelpump shut off under bonnet and jump power straight to the glows (bridge relay or something).
That is if its a mechanical injected not late model efi type?

Slide mate thats the sort of info I was after....
ran a wire off the positive terminal straight onto the fuel cuff off solenoid, instant power, fired up first pop after sitting under a tree for five years!
How would you recommend I wire the glow relay, and where do I attach it?

Trace the wire back from the glow rail and find the original glow relay. Then just put in your own wiring to trigger the relay. The wiring to glows is heavy size cable, so is much easier to use factory stuff than to wire in your own. Trigger wire to relay only needs to be small, and you can either use a aftermarket glow timer, or just a push button. If it fires up easy at this time of year then just use a push button to use on real cold mornings

Excellent Mate cheers for that, now say in both cases where I have run a wire off the battery to both the glow relay and the fuel cut solenoid, do you think it wise to put in a fuse? or will both be fine. Have installed a on/off switch for the fuel cut, and a push button for the glow, just like the dirty old tractor it is
