Toyota or aftermarket bearings?

Hi, I am a new member who put up a post a few days ago needing advice regarding the 80 series big end bearings. It seems the general consensus is that if I have 275,000km on the truck then I dont have one with bearing issues, but that I should change them out as a safe gaurd. Good advice, thanks to everone who commented, its much appreciated.
So my next question is: Should I use Toyota replacement shells or ACL aftermarket ones. It seems like the ACL ones are a one size fits all (????? hard to imagine how that can be but!!!!)
And does anyone know a good source for these and a sump gasket in NZ?
All advice welcome & appreciated

We fit aftermarket bigend bearings to customers 80series all the time never had a come back, but we do like to stick with products made in japan, hope this helps.last time i was quoted for genuine bigends they were sold seperate wich is very odd.

yep, that is why, because toyota on't do one size fits all.
as for sourcing parts, ring central auto parts in palmerston north.
they get alot of stuff out of taiwan etc

I have started buying some parts from a Toyota Dealer in Japan, as long as the parts are not to heavy then total cost ( including freight ) can be half that of NZ Dealers
