Note to all Nissan Mistral and "Terrano II" owners

Post by Crash bandicoot »

This effects all nissan mistrals made.

Normal due diligence will pick this up when purchasing a vehicle but for those less inclined to know.

IF you own or are looking at purchasing this vehicle in SWB or LWB take note of the following.

IT may no longer get a WOF if the following has not been completed to the midsection floor pan.

http://lvvta.org.nz/documents/infosheets/LVVTA_Info_02-2005_Nissan_Mistrals-Jan_2005.pdf

It is a how to on how to repair the systemic rust issue that this vehicle has due to a design flaw.

this does not need to be completed by a modern body qualified repairer, so if you are good with a mig welder this could be done in a weekend with a mate and a bit of knowledge.

This repair has to be certified so ensure the vehicle has said cert plate attached if using the load bar,

IF the entire floor panel has been replaced get under the vehicle and give the area a good going over. entire floor panel replacement does not require certifying.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.
