hi TB42s go well on lpg (i had one) lots of government TBC and TBI patrols were fitted new ,but youd need to be doing afew k,s to consider fitting a new lpg kit ,my TB42EFI patrol and runs was liter for liter with the TD42's
(coal burners) so not bad on gas at all and a lot more GO GO

if its an early carby truck I'd doubt an LPG kit would make much difference to its value and at a guess it would probably cost $3k-$4k to buy a new kit and have it fitted and certified, might be more economic to use that money to upgrade to a newer more fuel efficent truck

Yeah, that was considered, I did have a Isuzu wizard which was more modern and quite efficient if driven properly. But I got into the 4wd scene and started getting scartches and dents and didn't want to do anymore damage and go harder, so I got a saf with the mindset that I'm not going to worry about dings and dongs and just have fun. I do want to use it as a daily but for now will just sit in drive way waiting for the next run, which is its likely to stay that way. And will probably get a td42 in the future. Just considering my options, still want decent off road power and try to get the word efficient or cheap(er) in there...
