Hi i have a 1990 swb mk1 pajero with coil spring rear end
i took a lsd diff head out of a mk2 lwb coil sprung rear end from pick a part and its in realy good condition i also got the shafts and rear disk brake set up do u know if it will all bolt on ok? I would like to do the swap tommrow if it will fit. By looking at it the diff looks the same size and is the correct ratio for my truck.

Hi Pajero1983, depends on the ring gear sizes as I believe there are 3 sizes of rears, 8, 9 & 9.5" but NJV6 on here might know.
If you have a coil rear mk1 thar should be a 9", same as mark2 but by now you will have figured it out. Did the whole head bolt in? I'd like to know as I'm wondering about fitting a disc brake rear to my mark1, but I'd like to stay with an 8" for ground clearance.

Have you measured the axle length between your and the gen 2? You may find them different lengths. Make sure you get the diff head from the 3.0 or the 2.5 model, otherwise they won't fit.
8 inch diff housing is narrower so to get discs will mean cutting down an axle or putting larger housing in place. That will bolt in.
