Nissan Regulus 97

Hi out there
just bought a Regulus for my wife and extended the Nissan family. Could do with some infos though.
- what is the A/T switch for ?
- 2wd/4wd/lock switch ? how to operate?

When i shift in to 4wd the display on the dash shows lock (yellow) is that normal?

Ah... and where is that "real truck feeling" disappeared to (the one I have driving my safari)

Gidday,

A/T switch - controlls the shift points in the auto trans... 'power' will allow higer engine revs before it changes gear, and changes down a bit quicker than in 'normal'.

'2wd' (obvious, drive to rear wheels only), '4wd' engages the front driveshaft but leaves the centre diff lock disengaged (esentially 'all wheel drive') and 'lock' engages the centre diff.... light is normal. When you shift the lever into 'low' it will automatically lock the centre diff.

And the Regulus/Terrano doesn't quite have the 'truck' feel of a safari, but a comfortable and fairly capable 4x4

Did terrano's ever have that real Truck feeling?

Thats one thing i like about them really, still comfortable to drive, untill you wind torsion bars up and have aftermarket shocks put in

at jay : you are right ...it is very comfortable to ride and def good for long cruises. less than 10l per 100 (not to bad i think)
