Just got my first beam axel truck. has now begun to weep oil around swivel balls, Not pouring out but leaking all the same. So guess its time to relplace seals.
Where in canterbury do peolpe find best to source the kits?
if done properly how long should seals last?

Not sure about South Is but Don Kyatt up here in Auckland is the agent for the Terrain Tamer kits... They are a good kit....
My last seal job was done about 5 -6 years ago and still going strong...
About 50 to 60k k's ago....
I did however give the ball a good sand up to remove as much of the machine marks and then coated / painted it with Teflon paint...
Still looks good and I reckon the smooth ball has added to the longevity of the wiper seal... being nice and smooth.

If you've got oil coming out your swivels it's the inner seal that's leaking where the axle seals, there should only be grease in the swivel housing of a hilux.
Pull apart, clean everything up, check your axles where the inner seals run, buy 2 new inner axle seals, and 2 wiper kits from Toyota (cost $40) and either repack or replace (if needed) your wheel bearings, done
