Parts TD27T

Post by roninjiro »

I am trying to find the valve that is on the valve/rocker cover so I can replace mine, and have no luck. Does anyone have a website with the part listed that you can give me so I can order it?

Block it off with a plug and as long as you have a boost gauge, no worries.
Anyhow, the engine can stand full boost from a factory turbo with no risk to the engine. I have a couple spare but shipping to the States may not work out that well

Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

Doh My bad
They are attached to the rocker cover. You need a whole rocker cover to sort that out?
Not the easiest thing to get hold of over there. Any TD27 will have one but different models have the hose tail coming out in different directions. You need to find a TD motor somewhere local to you and rob it blind. Diesels not a common US power plant :(

hmmm ok, I have another td27t but I was wondering if you guys could purchase them new over there. The one on my current engine is stuck open and the turbo is sucking the case of oil. I guess I will have to pop it open and try to rig something up. thank you for your help

Would a Oil Seprator Catch Can help fix the problem. I made one, and seems to catch oil, instead feeding into the inlet of turbo for burning inside the engine. This may help.

What is that thing at the back? Is it just a crank case vent? Mine has the hose going down to the road :? i guess thats not the correct place for it, lol.

Does it have a spring in it or something? Does it just open when there's crankcase pressure = nearly all the time.

hmmm..... much to learn
