Hi all,

Just wondering if a standard 94 L200 wellside 4wd will take 31's without rubbing? and will factory sport flares keep them tucked in?
Also want to buy new 15" steelies , anyone know what the offset will be?

Cheers.

I have 31x10.5 R15 Goodyear Wrangler MTRs on mine, no rubbing. I have 15x7 steel rims but I'm not sure of the offset. I also have a set of Goodyear Wrangler ATSA for road use on a set of alloy rims that are a different offset to the steelies, I get a little bit of rub on full lock and compression.

cheers.
Ive heard of tyre fitters being not too keen on fitting 31x10.5 to 7inch rims? most of them recommend 8 inch?

If 7 is all good then nectar, just need to work out what the offset is.

My pajero with the widebody flares has a tyre placard inside the drivers door that says the two factory tyre sizes are 265/70r15, and 31x10.5r15.
I think non-widebody ones would say they're meant to run a 235 or something.
Factory alloys on it are 7" wide, so there should be no issues with any tyre guy fitting them to a 7" rim.
They don't balloon out excessively, rather, are a 'good fitment' for a 4x4 type setup, in my opinion.
265 on a 7" rim on a lower profile car type tyre would be excessive but the amount of sidewall in 4x4 stuff makes it work quite nicely.
