Clutch noise?

Hey All,

As some of you may know, I've put a new clutch in my 89 SWB Safari - TD42, I've run into 2 issues that I believe are related.

There's a noise coming from the gearbox sounding like a knock/rattle. As soon as I put the clutch in it goes. Now as soon as the old girl warms up this noise goes away and problem 2 kicks in - As soon as I come to a stand still and go to put it into 1st (or any other gear) it wont let me, so the clutch is not clearing. Since the clutch change the clutch is very short but that is expected. I haven't adjusted anything as the person who helped me said hydralic clutches should need to be adjusted(?) And I did get the flywheel surfaced and new thrust(throwout) bearing installed.

Any ideas? I'm confused.

Cheers,
Grant
