Glorious rain

Post by the quadfather »

Damn! I just wanna go out and play in the mud! Had a wee play at the bottom of the Waipara this arvo but when leaving via the golf course exit (i came in from double/two corner rd) i found it's been closed with cones and a sign saying road closed. I hope it wasn't because of people playing in the mud.

Hope there is something left open sou'west - man the Waimak isnt like it used to be these days, went out for a ride on the Yamaha on Sunday to find more gates & fences than the CBD FFS, given up on 4x4ing down there & what ho - logging has closed another great riding area at Miners Bank

But I did the Selwyn River from some Ford(not Coes) to SH1 the other weekend in the 80, some odd looks from people walking dogs (there is a pretty clear driving track up it) & the best screaming abuse from a weird lady that looked like she was doing the walk of shame from a bad production of Joseph & a Night Of The Living Dead mash up party

Nah Its because the lagoon is shifting and has taken out a chunk of the road beside the golf course.

I got stuck in the Selwyn on the 2nd day I had my 4WD, Took me 3 hours to dig/jack it out and put logs under it!!

I was only on a small crossing IE 4 inches of water!!
