Pulled my rear leaves out, disassembled them cleaned them up with a lick of paint and reassembled them with heaps of grease minus the extra thick leaf that had been added at some stage and now they actually do what there suposed to do and no more jarring my back over every bump :P

waiting over, ripped diff out and caught the copper tube and broke it off, so out to a mates place and modify it to 3/16 nickel bundy, modified the air fitting to suit, did a air test before putting back together, air is pissing out from inside the locker, so pull that apart, it appears the "bonded seal" is fuked, be interesting to see if arb parts fit the chinese locker :)

pull bead lock apart to fix stud holes that got flogged out when the rim came loose. Gonna mig them up and redrill

not so much a 4wd weekend but used my 4wd quad all weekend and went on a hunting trip to the wairarapa .arrived friday morn to rain and wind .decided to go for a ride around the farm so the manager could show us where we could and couldn't go .managed to hit a few goats on the tour ,my best was a couple of 360 mtr shots with my 308.over the weekend one of the boys had a new rifle to play with( tikka t3 tactical in 300WM) and pulled off a 570 and a 650 mtr shot at a couple of goats. we totaled about 20 goats and a red hind to take home.cant wait to do it again

iv welded externals onto many cast manifolds in the past and never had any problems . the trick is to preheat the cast so that when you weld to it it doesn't super heat a concentrated area causing it to form hair line cracks as it rapidly cools down.

Yup preheats the key and either use "super cast" sticks all round or lay down beads on both parent matierals and finish with 316 s/s sitcks. One aera I will reccomend busting out the stick welder for better results

Sunday- On the Cecil rd trip the winch wouldn't go so down at electricians, does anyone know anybody good in the Rotorua region who would be suitable for refurbishing externals of the winch as she's pretty shagged.
