a brief overview of what ya might want to do

(ive owned a 1990 td27 terrano for a couple of years now)

Beef up the steering, lots of ways you can do this, be it buying a kit or swapping for the steering from a 2wd navara.

If your looking at putting some larger tyres on it i would suggest keeping to 32's, 33's are such a hassle. i had a 2 inch body and 2 inch suspension and only just got away with it.

as for keeping her cooler, theres a few things ya can do,

bighorn top mount intercoolers work well apparently andya can pick them up pretty cheap, or if your after something different the subaru rs legacys (older shape) have great water to air intercoolers that are easy to plumb up.

the main thing you will want to do is put in an idler arm brace. save you alot in idler arms and tyres.

if your after performance best to start with an egt guage and work away after that.

Well i hope this info has helped, and have fun!

Cheers mate thanks for that, for starters i think i may aswell beef up the steering then after that look into a lift for fitting some bigger wheels, did it take you much to fit 32s?

no i went with 33's in the end, but only cause i picked them up for $80s a tyre from a wrecker that couldnt sell them.

from what i have heard 32's can be put on with a 2 inch lift, with a bit of guard cutting.

if your going to do a body lift, i wouldn't recommend going over 2 inches, thats when you start getting into problems like lengthing the brake lines etc.

and if ya want to make a really strong truck, take a look at my thread:

cheers,
