Interest in ake Daniels trip?

Post by albundy »

Have been doing some background discussons on getting an ORE trip into Lake Daniels. This is an awesome trip, have done it with the club, recovery practce +++ 8) This trip would be for modified vehicles only with recovery gear. Has known to kill trucks  . Cost could be as high as $50 per truck. Go in on a friday afternoon, do the flat saturday and drive out sunday. Would like to see what interest there is on the site to see if it is worth pursuing or not.

I'd be keen. Last time I was in was March, and it was very dry compared to what I'm told it can be like.
Even with the 33" Mongrels I kept haging up on the diffs, but I doubt even 35's would got me through

Was very wet when I was in there last october. I was thinking of trying to knock this one before xmas. Would suspect that after this winter and with a warm spring we may have bog holes galore.

I might also be able to manage a mid-week trip. It'd be nice to meet up with some of the ORE team...

Mid week will be hard for me to do, got off shift work last year. I have to plan my annual leave so this could be difficult but will look at all options. If it turns out to be easier to get mid week access, then I may have to roll it over to early next year(plannng of leave).

I haven't been there before so would be keen to try somewhere new. Mid-week or weekend is ok with me. Subject to dates.
