lights on mean it's not charging.. alternator not doing its job

I'm having this same problem with my LJ71.. have you had any luck?

Have you checked alternator belts are in good condition / have good tension?

check the exciter wire that tells the alternator when to charge and when to stop charging, cant remember the name of the little box off the top of my head that controls it. check that too.
