Hey dude me again I dont mind giving ya a hand or some advice, especially if it gets another safari on the track(less room for jeeps hehe). But most guys with a welder would NEVER LET ANYONE TOUCH IT or maybe thats just me being selfish.Theres nothing like owning a great welder and ya get the wrong dude or chick(my mrs)on it and they F##*EN WRECK IT.

So feel free to give me a bell,I dont have a hell of a lot time up my sleeve but we tend to do a few nights a week of mods in the shed!!

yeah i tend to stay away from fiddling with outher people welders...
i get them to set it and go about squirting the metal down
they are pretty expensive and i wouldnt want to break anyones welder

i got some damage points today after getting into a creek
which could of been totally avoided if i had bars

would a nice leg of sika venison change your mind?

You could probably buy an old stick welder for not much more than the cost of the steel in your bar. The old ones go better on 3 phase if you've got that. Have a look around.

If it breaks, build it stronger.
If it doesn't break, drive it harder.

If you buy your own look for an old youngs style choke welder, the ones with the slide to change amperage, they are as tough as you'll get and beutifull to weld with ... you should be able to get one for $100-$150 out of the trader
For rods go talk to BOC they arn't the cheapest but they have skilled staff who will tell ya what to do and they have some very easy welding General Purpose rods that are very forgiving on prep and skill
When you weld find a plug near the switch board or if your lucky and there is one on the switch board use that it'll be alot nicer welding

If you do let us know

Cheers Reece
