Beginner from Southland

Hi there, im from Invercargill and i have a Suzuki SJ410. I brought it off my father so we have had many trips in it going hunting and playing in mud of course around the Te Anau area so im not a complete beginner.

Im pretty much just wanting some information on joining a local club and also finding out how to enter the mud drags down here at the end of September.

I'm really keen on getting out there and having some fun i just have no idea were to go. there is a place out by the beach but gets a bit boring going to the same place all the time.

Any help will be awesome!!

Hi dave, im from gore so not too far from ya.

Google T&F richardson ute conversions and give Toni a bell, he knows all the local clubs etc going on around the area, he competes in just about all of them lol

Hopefully he can help, hes been 4x4ing down here for ages, heaps of trophys etc.

you might have seen his green 4door suzuki on hilux axles, chopped into a ute.

the southland landrover club caters for all kinds of people and trucks and have regular trips on.In fact i think thee are only a couple of landrovers in the club'the rest are the usual mix of toyota safaris etc
