Cookes Petone name change

Post by fullthrottle »

Was driving down Udy Street today and noticed the Cookes shop has had a name change.

Its now BRIDON

Still selling the same stuff though and offering a discount on snatch straps for 4x4 club members.

ah yes cookes have changed up to east tamaki / auyckland as well

Bridon is the main company and have been suppling ships and fishing fleets forever by the sounds of it

anyway i had a chat to the chap behind the counter at E/T last week and queried why they would move away from such a well known and respected name and he just shrugged his shoulders and gave me a sad face.....

so Bindon it is and cookes it isn't :?

I used to deal with Cookes for work alot and am fairly sure that Cookes was just a sub company of Bridon. Could also be wrong
