Slotted rotors for 96 prado

Brakes are getting useless now (towing was always bad but now scary) and with the old discs being from when it rolled off the line I figured that maybe a birthday is in order. The brakes on my old zook 413 were crap until I got some DBA discs for it and then they were beyond belief (head on steering wheel a couple of times - nearly).

I know I could give the discs another skim and put some new pads on there but to be honest I'll just be thinking about how crap they are/might be when I next tow something I'd prefer a better long term option.

Anyone help with suggestions about pad types and disc types (and prices and places with deals)? Not used off road except for shiney stuff (very rarely now) and is mostly a touring vehicle and tow wagon.

DBA gold slotted/ cross drilled or both Auto stop Mt Wellington Auckland. for the Commodore cost 90 a side.

I wouldn't advise cross drilled off road though as the extreme temperature changes from braking then driving through water will most likely cause them to crack.
