Wednesday pciked up a replacement auto for the buggy supposedly good condition dropped it to the trans man Thursday Morning, by lunchtime knew that it was stuffed, gear set was melted together it had been that hot. Buynow Thursday night on another auto for the trans man to check, owner was happy to drop it to the trans man for me so must be a good one. Today pulled old auto and transfer case out so was able to strip modified bits out of auto ready for replacemnet trans to go in.
Then bypassed the on off switch on the 12000lb Runva so it will work again.

Forge stones and bits of vegetation will be jamming the fingers on your pressure plate in the release position stopping it from going back on to the clutch plate.Get a hose running in to your bellhousing onto the pressure plate is the best and with the engine idling pump the clutch for a while and try and rinse it out.I have had this problem before and fixed it this way.Good luck.

Yea, the sound of the V8 makes up for it, he has an electric fan on it, sounds crazy like a supercharger!

have managed to get out in the garage a few times lately and have made good progress on the playdoh.finished the adapter plate for gearbox/transfer.installed motor and gearbox/transfer so i could start the exhaust.made good progress on that and finished and painted it in aluminium paint to slow down the rust .modified the auto linkage and made a new bracket to hold the low/high lever on to the side of the auto.next step is to pull the motor out for the last time so i can paint mounts ,run cooler lines, reroute wiring and brake lines etc ,then its finish the engine loom and install it plus computer .Hopeing to have it drivable for xmas.Lots of little things to do as well ir temp gauge, oil pressure gauge etc.picked up a fuel pump off stinky ( thanks stinky) .
