Hey all Im looking at this tomorrow

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/nissan/safari/auction-518661626.htm

I managed to get a look at it today but didnt have the wife so have to go back tomorrow.

Couple of things need attention and Im just wanting to know if its worth its price or if I should go in lower. He said $5k is his lowest.

My preference is a low roof with the grey interior but you cant have it all with my budget.

Issues:

Rev Counter not working
Fastest window wiper mode doesnt work
Rear Drivers window regulator broken
Needs front tyres
Suspension a bit tired
Couple of rust spots (Firewall & behind front bumper)
WOF and Rego due in 2-3 weeks

Pros:
PTO :)
Manual
Rebuilt injecter pump
New rear tyres

But beggers cant be choosers.

Hes owned it for 13 years and looks well looked after.

I want to know if it has a LSD???? (No sticker on diff)

I jacked up 1 wheel and I turned it and felt a clunk then it spun, not easily but not exactly hard. On my bighorn its really hard to spin when you jack up 1 wheel.

Cheers
Ray

haha yip the fix is...... New or Rebuild your wiper motor. Its something inside that causes the issues. My last one did it aswell and with a couple of wacks on the motor with a wheel brace (like you do with a starter motor) and it went sweet for about 3weeks. My initial thoughts were the switch but after repalcing that it didnt change.

We are heading up this arvo after work. I had a quick chat with the father n law last night and he said he has 2 LSD's sitting in the garage so if it doesnt then I cant get one of those. Cheers for the offer though. haha and I may now have a winch so next outing you can be my winch B1tch haha. Sorry not getting back to you about woodhill. All I can say is lucky you didnt tag along with us as you would have been off work crook for over a week. today is my first day back since 21st Sept and im still not 100%

No worries

If I had 5k I would be looking at it myself. Check the roofline for rust

Well got the wagon home tonight and ahhhhh its good to be in another one :) there is no LSD fitted as I found trying to go over a grass section so I made the call to the father n law and will get one fitted when we are next up there.

First on the list is tidy up some small things and then sort out the suspension as it looks very original.
