Maratoto cut back 28 Oct
Approved by DoC and starting from the ford on Wires Rd at 9.30am Bags to be filled with stones and transported up the trail to repair soft areas. Teams to tackle sections of vegetation as far up as ABC rock.

Members of the Auckland and Land Rover Owners (Auck) spent time at Maratoto cutting back overgrowing foliage, clearing drains and placing over 25 hessian bags of rocks to reinforce soft areas of the trail.
The Maratoto trail is now open to 4x4 use, but is still soft in places so please take care not to dig holes with tyres. Tread Lightly!
If conditions change, the trail can be closed, so before traveling, check 027 5242132
