4x4 National Park 2013

This 4x4 event is scheduled for the 2/3 March 2013 based in National Park.
A new area has just been confirmed to supplement the farm and DoC lands that we've used in previous years.

The registration form for 2013 is now available and the cost of the trips over the weekend is $80.00. Register early and don't forget that you need to organise your own accommodation etc.

With a steady flow of registrations coming in for this event, it would be wise to not leave it to the last minute as there is a limit on the number of vehicles that can be accommodated.
Enjoy, if you wish, the comfort of the Park Travellers Lodge as our base and then the four wheeling around National Park.

This event is filling up but we've one change and that's that the planned new property is not going to have its tracks ready for use in time. There will still be plenty of interesting four wheeling and landscapes, so get your registration form in promptly. Request one from

Well, with a day still to go before the entry deadline... the event is full. Route checks last weekend were a little dusty in places but the clear skies gave great views.

Thanks to all who participated in this year's event. A little dusty at times as predicted and with the dryness, not quite as challenging as some might have desired. There still seemed to be plenty of smiles however.
The event donated $2790 to the Ruapehu Alpine Rescue Organisation (RARO)
We are grateful for the help provided by the Park Travellers Lodge.
Thanks to NZ4WD magazine too for their gift subscriptions and copies of the magazine.
