Rb25det Terrano *Offers

Post by Paulballz »

Hey guys due to lack of funds i have to consider selling my truck as i cannot finish the project.

Truck
*It is a 1991 Nissan terrano with 171,000kms on body
*31" Maxxis Bighorns
*50mm suspension lift (new heavy duty springs, new shocks all round)
*50mm body lift
*Recond automatic transmission

Engine
*Rb25det Neo from r34 skyline 89,000km (From osaka engines)
*Top mount intercooled
*3" Exhaust from turbo back, Straight through performance muffler

*To much work to list need to check my blog for full detailed blog

*Not running as had megasquirt ECU setup. Will need another second hand engine loom ($120 - $300), and need to be wired up (quoted around $1200 for this, has original ECU)

Few other minor things need doing but only expense is engine wiring, pm me for my details.

Open to serious offers

Bummer I wanted to see this go. we get up to 430 hp out of these engines in aussie unopened. I thought with a different manifold/ turbo and a nis tune it would make for an interesting drive.

Be a shame to let it go after all you've done. Do you need to sell it or is it just because you can't pay someone to sort it?
Did you kill the megasquirt? I see you say it HAD a megasquirt...

dont know if its any help...but you may have some luck trying get hold of some drift folk(not road bums, but the drift racing type)
they seem to know how to wire them into anything

$1200 seems very extreme, i had a link computer put into my old racecar for a grand total of $900 incl tuning...

get another loom off trademe(cheap) ecu and give someone some beers for the install..

its a shame seeing unfinished projects being sold...

good luck anyway

Hey getsum yeah tryed to get a hold of a few before i started engine wiring and most the drift guys up here (mates of mine) are over in aus now and others all seem to tell me they dont like working on NEO rb engines...

I lucky enough didnt kill the megasquirt but didnt mention it as i feel it easier for someone to install the original ecu in loom then trying to install and get megasquirt running unless well knowledged on tuning ect.

So to save tail chacing go original ecu and get it wired professionally and be sorted :D (out of my price limit)

Ok...see how you go with this.
If ya have no luck selling it, or change your mind maybe we can work something out. I couldn't guarantee to get it tuned right, but I'm pretty sure I can get it running for ya. With either ecu if you got a stock loom...

Thanks guys that good to know, ill def have a honest attempt at sorting situation out to avoid selling project over the next few weeks. If successful i would be more than happy to pay for some ones time in help in sorting truck.

As mentioned though this was to see what bites i get as a backup plan more than anything... I was once told everything is forsale for a price and i sure aint going to give the old girl away after all the work.

Check blog for update

Just want to clear something here, the views expressed on the Megasquirt are my own views and negative ones are due to my poor electrical knowledge, I do not want to put others off, these systems have a very good rep from people that know what they are doing and the megatuner im dealing with is a great guy that has given alot of help and i regard him very highly
