Just a heads up guys, this trip may not happen thanks to idiots breaking in and damaging areas, this damage affects the deadwood event being held there soon. There are deep ruts in areas where last time we were there were flat so I'm guessing its not any ORE members. (everyone knows to ask for permission to go there first).

Am looking at changing the location.....how bout a terewhiti ramble...after a nice easy trip location suitable for newbies.....

That area will be flatend sooner rather than later for housing

Big shame that, not many awesome areas like that one around in NZ. I feel quite lucky that I got to play in it with some awesome welly 4wders

Its the guys that don't have keys and break in apparantly, will keep you advised of developments, it may be better to postpone there so it doesnt affect the 4wd round there at easter...we can change to terewhiti etc

Yea by the way ryan thats breaking in haha...they dont have a key to get in (there not allowed to go in) so they drive over the hump (breaking in).

Jerry im not sure anymore about Terawhiti becuase of all these windmills. I know that the access will possibly be cancled out there soon to because of it all (you know and the windmills going out there and O.S.H etc.) but maybe ask someone who knows him well to ask and he should let you out there...lots of great tracks out there. I have his phone number if you need it.....depending on when this is i may go

unfortunately there are always IDIOT'S out there that ruin it for those genuine 4x4er's like us, you just have to look at the Wainui firebreaks, get a few people (like a certain council member) that go up there for a ride on their mountain bike and have a near miss with a motor cycle then the area gets shut down to all motor vehicles, along with hoon's and stolen cars being dumped and rallied up there, i used to enjoy going up there and towing out the wreck's with my 4x4, doinmg the council a favor at the same time, then i get a call from the council saying they are going to prosecute me if i go up there again...lol..all right for their members to still use the area for MBing....all assoiated 4x4 clubs in NZ need to purchase land (or long term lease) in their area just so we have our freedom to use them when ever we want to have outings, without having to worry about the area being shut down thru prople with no respect for our sport, even here in Masterton the 4x4 area is closed off thru the local motorcross club having their playground in the same area, occaisonally you can get in there if they have a meet on, but chances are you might get locked in.
well thats my 2 cents..

Keep it wet n slippery

Might be keen for a run after lunch somewhere to test my new swaybar disconnects.
