So ive just got a warrant on my terrano after having to do a few things - shock bushes, lower ball joint, rear lower arm bushes.

Anyway im wondering if theres a few more things that probably should be done...?

I had a wheel alignment but now the truck is pulling to the left quite quick, im thinking that theres a few bushes that are messing with things, however a caliper seized on me the day of the alignment so maybe that had something to do with it...?

would you replace a ball joint if it looked like this? the three that I havnt replaced are pretty similar

are these bushes stuffed? what are they called/what part should I buy?

what are these called? they seem have a bit of life left but would it be worth doing? how hard are they to do?

this is where the torsion bar comes through at the front, is there anything in there that wears out? it looks like theres a bush in there?

The upper balljoint is probly ok just a torn rubber.
the radius arm bushes look a bit past it (pic 2 & 3).
the caliper shouldnt affect the wheel alignment job, i would guess that they have altered the camber on the left front wheel though, when i had mine done there was alot of positive camber on the left front but it wasnt changed and it drives mint.
just some thoughts

the ones on the top arm are called control arm bushes, but they seem to look fine, your warrent guy would have picked them up otherwise.

if its pulling to the left just check nothing is bent, and check if there is any play in anything.

Worn radius arm bushes will cause it to steer in one direction or the other, especially under braking.
I'd replace everything in your pictures as they are all showing signs of wear.

cheers simon that pic was brilliant, where would I get a hardcopy manual with all that stuff in it?

can the upper control arm bushes be pushed in with a vice? it looks like the spindle has to stay in between the whole time, is there a way to do it without a press?

im thinking I might just do the whole lot at once and a 2wd steering conversion too?

whats the bushing at the front of the radius arm called? where the torsion bar meets up too, is that whole lower triangle thing the radius arm? excuse my ignorance only here to learn :)

the ball joint my mechanic ordered me was a "central ball joints", I think it was about $35, what are these like? be fine for the other three?

me and my brother did it with a vice, first ones easy, second one not so much

try not to replace them with nolathane, mine wore out real quick.
