located in Tauranga...
cool

thats almost in my back yard, Im at the other end of Tauranga Direct Road.
the list of things to do is endless and the starting point is defined by what type 4wding, mud , exterme, competitions, shiney family, or hold this I think we might survive... After this, how every much money you think you want to spend, muliply that by at less ten fold.
Still with me ..? ok ?? best next step is not to buy anything except a first aid kit and fire ext. then come out with us or some local club members just to see whats what, and tell everyone that you are a new boy so they will guide you on the finer details.
no dout everyone here will also help cheers

big bore exhaust!! those motors are really prone to cracking the head. my prado just cracked it the other day. and its looking expensive

it shouldnt be to expensive- rage does a bolt on kit i think. other than that a set of 31s and decent tow points would be a good start

would the tow hooks you find on trade me be any good
DJ.. do you belong to a club or does ORE have a 'branch' in BOP
do the 31's fit straight on the std surf rims?

As long as the hooks are rated at 10000lb, they will be ok.
Just make sure you mount them properly, and if unsure, ask how to do this.

The tow hooks on trademe are okay, you should try and support the advertisers on here though where possible.
What size are your standard rims? Lots of Surf's have alloy's on them. As long as it's a 15x7 rim you should be fine to run 31's.

does ORE have a branch do we ever!!! yea, try Furgus in Tauranga he's in here somewhere . look in members list, if not then Ill help you out
do the 31's fit straight on the std surf rims?
yes most times but how wide are they? and different areas like different patterns eg BOP usally a very open agressive pattern with good side lugs works best ( heavy mud, Forestry )
Just make sure you mount them properly, and if unsure, ask how to do this.
If in dout just bring the beast over here and Ill mount them for you, properly.
